Free Eco-Friendly Workshops
Every year, the City hosts free eco-friendly workshops for residents in support of resource conservation efforts and other Climate Action Plan initiatives. Workshop topics include composting, water conservation, and sustainable living. Todd Sutton, aka the “Waste Sleuth”, provides workshop attendees with an interactive learning experience, helping residents learn how to reduce their environmental impact.
Home Composting: The City periodically hosts free backyard composting workshops and offers high-quality compost bins (see details below). Composting your yard trimmings and food scraps is easy, great for your yard and garden, kind to our environment, and good for you too! Save money, save water, and conserve natural resources. Future classes will be posted online here.
