Picnic Rentals

The City of Martinez has five parks with reservable picnic areas that are perfect for a variety of gatherings ranging from 15-180 people. Picnic areas are first-come, first serve except during the official picnic season (First Friday in April through the last Sunday in October).  Picnic areas can be reserved on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. City Reservations begin:

  • the second Monday in February for City residents
  • the first Monday in March for Non-residents; 
    • Unincorporated areas (Pacheco, Mountain View) are considered non-resident.

Facility Rentals

We have three facilities available for indoor meetings and events. The following are available year-round to rent on an hourly basis (3-hour minimum):

Nancy Boyd
Multi-purpose room with 20-person maximum capacity. Amenities include: electricity, refrigerator, sink, microwave, tables and chairs.

        Golden Hills  

Multi-purpose room with 25-person maximum capacity. Amenities include: electricity, refrigerator, sink, tables and chairs. 

Library

Meeting Room with 60-person maximum capacity. Available for approved non-profit organizations. See Library and Community Meeting Room Policy and Procedures for more information.

Please Note: All facilities are unavailable to rent on City of Martinez holidays including but not limited to:

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve (1/2 day),  and Christmas Day.

Park Rentals

Any group, organization, company or family may make a guaranteed park reservation through the Recreation Division. Reservations follow the same guidelines as Special Events.

Sport Field Rentals

The City of Martinez has a variety of fields available for soccer, baseball, and softball. Reservations for City park and athletic facilities for practice and organized league play should be made through the Recreation Division. Priority will be given to sanctioned Recreation Division programs and Co-sponsor youth groups. Field Rental requests will only be accepted from League Directors or Tournament Organizers. Individual team managers/coaches will not be recognized without authorization from league directors.
