Legislative Platform
The City is engaged in legislative advocacy efforts that are aimed at protecting and promoting Martinez’s best interest at the local, state, and federal levels. These efforts are driven by the City’s mission to deliver superior municipal services that make our residents, employees, and visitors’ lives better.
The significant increase in bills being introduced in the State Legislature that have the potential to further impact cities’ local control has prompted the City to expand its advocacy efforts. Key to these efforts is the development of the Legislative Platform which outlines the City’s principles, policies, goals, and strategies.
