Senate Bill ("SB") 1383 requires all residents, businesses, and multi-family complexes to recycle material such as cardboard, paper, aluminum, and more. Additional recycling programs exist for the California Redemption Value ("CRV") and special waste such as used oil. Check out StopWaste's RE:Source Guide for nearby reuse, repair, recycling, and safe disposal options. Find information about CRV Buyback Centers, Used Oil Collection Centers, and more below.
Curbside Recycling for Residents and Businesses
Residents and businesses can dispose of recyclable materials such as bottles, cans, plastic containers, and paper in their Republic Services recycling receptacles for weekly curbside collection. Items should be placed loosely (without a bag) into your curbside receptacle.
Republic Services offers free indoor blue receptacles and trainings to businesses and free recycle tote bags for multi-family units, upon request. To request a free indoor container, multi-family recycle tote bags, or trainings, contact Republic Services at (925) 685-4711.
