Contra Costa County Climate Leaders

4CL_logoThe Contra Costa County Climate Leaders ("4CL") program is a network assisting the County and its 19 cities to inform, support, and encourage the measurement and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.


Green Business Program

California_Green_Business_logoThe Green Business Program distinguishes small businesses that protect, preserve, and sustain our environment. The Program partners with local environmental agencies and utility providers to offer incentives and verify participating businesses conserve energy and water, minimize waste, prevent pollution, and shrink their carbon footprints.


 New Leaf Collaborative

NLC_new_logoThe City's award-winning partnership with New Leaf Collaborative, Martinez Unified School District ("MUSD"), and Republic Services provides a comprehensive education and outreach program at each school in the MUSD. The goal of the program is to increase eco-literacy and inspire the sustainability leaders of tomorrow through fun, interactive lesson plans.

Sustainable Contra Costa

Sustainable_CC_logoSustainable Contra Costa ("SCOCO") provides education and resources that help people take action to save water and energy, reduce waste, and promote community wellness. SCOCO coordinates the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge, a web-based platform where residents can find tips, action guides, and resources to take sustainability actions and track their carbon footprint. Get involved and join the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge!

Additionally, SCOCO hosts the leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala to inspire and honor individuals and organizations building sustainability in Contra Costa. Learn more about the Leadership in Sustainability Awards and submit a nomination.
