What is the Waterfront Master Plan?

On July 20th, the City Council authorized staff to execute a contract in a form acceptable to the City Attorney with the SWA Group to assist the City with its Waterfront Marina Trust Lands Use Plan – a project will help determine the future of the Martinez waterfront by assessing the numerous challenges and opportunities that exist.  The contract was executed by the parties and staff coordinated an internal kick-off meeting with SWA Group on August 17th at the waterfront to map out specific initial project steps and milestones. 

 SWA Group is now beginning the process of conducting waterfront stakeholder interviews and has launched a project website, http://www.martinezwaterfront.com with information about the project, including a public workshop series to generate interest and important feedback about this project.
