November 2024 Candidates

The City of Martinez General Municipal Election will be held on November 5, 2024 to fill three seats:

Councilmember, District 2
Councilmember, District 3
City Treasurer (At-Large)

Terms are for four-years, and successful candidates will be sworn into office at a City Council meeting held in December 2024.

The following persons have been nominated for the offices designated to be filled at the General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Martinez on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

A candidate's Nomination Petitions are available for in-person viewing only and cannot be copied. Appointment with the City Clerk is required and can be scheduled by calling (925) 372-3512.

CITY TREASURER (AT-LARGE)

Update - At the close of the nomination period, there was only one official Nominee for the seat of City Treasurer. On August 21, 2024, at a Special City Council Meeting, the City Council adopted Resolution 125-24, effectively appointing Carolyn L. Robinson (Nominee) to the seat of City Treasurer and called for the cancellation of the election for the seat. The seat of City Treasurer will not appear on the November ballot, and Carolyn Robinson will take office with a new four-year term on December 11, 2024. For more information, click here.
